Festus is an energetic 9-month-old Cattle Dog mix who was rescued from the streets of Tijuana after being hit by a car and left for dead when he was only 8 weeks old. He came to Fur-Ever Home a few weeks later and we immediately got him the expert medical and surgical care he needed, including a successful hip surgery. He has fully recovered and is ready now for all that the future brings! He is enthusiastic, extremely intelligent, and easily trainable. He knows his “Sit” and “Come” commands and this little boy definitely likes to work for food! Festus loves to play with all kinds of squeaky toys and nutritious chews (you’ve got to see him play fetch!). He is housebroken and he has learned how to ring his doggie-bell near the door to alert his need to go outside. Festus walks very well on a leash. Our trainers think he would be a great candidate for “scent training.” Festus would love to be in a home with another dog and he loves people, especially children over six years old.
