Annie Fannie

Annie Fannie

Sun bathing beauty!  Annie has been back in her foster home for a few weeks now from boarding while their home was under construction.  All of the staff at Pet Suites were so sad to see her go but so happy she was going back into a home.  Annie is doing great, loves that it is heating up a bit, LOVES the sun ( as you can see by her picture ) and to just hang out in the fresh air.  Annie has lost alot of weigh and getting her girlish figure back.  Her beautiful Brindle coat is shinier than ever! We love you Annie Fannie!

Annie is doing great in her foster home!  She has truly flourished being in a home as we knew she would.  Here is this picture Annie has picked out all of her favorite toys ( hmmmm, including someone’s flip flop ) to show you.  He he he, this look is saying ” what shoe, I don’t know what you are talking about”  Way to go Annie, keep up the great work!  And look at that shiney coat, that is getting better too but she still has her bald spots on both of her sides, we are hoping that grows back very soon.

Pretty In Pink

Pretty In Pink

Hi there…it’s me Annie!  I just wanted to let you all know I am doing great and feeling so much better everyday.  I get to play in the yard, go for long walks, car rides and I am eating such yummy food now.  My foster parents know I am not good with other doggies or kitties yet so I have a big bedroom all to myself with a big comfy red couch, music and a big window to look out with fresh air all the time.  So last night I saw my first Oppossum walking along the fence right outside my window, yikes those are big scary rats and have weird glowie eyes….whewwww, i am so glad it kept walking!  Thank you all for never giving up on me and loving me through all these months…thanks to you all I am safe and soooooo happy! Talk to you soon, Love Annie!

We are SO proud of you Annie!!!

We are SO proud of you Annie!!!

Miss Annie is doing amazing in her foster home!!!! It was so hard to know how Annie she would be in a home since she has always been in a cage or boarding.  She is so mello in the house and just wants to be with her people. She cruises around the house as if she has lived there for ages. This is such a great suprise for us since often times when you would go visit Annie she would just be so kennel crazy it was hard to get to the real sweet girl she is because she was just so happy to be freeeeeeee….............We always knew she would be a different dog once in a home and boy were we right!  I am happy to report that the last two nights Annie has gone on walks with one of her foster homes other dogs.  Of course this is a slow process but overall Miss Annie did great, not too concerned about another dog being with her and in fact tried to engage play for the first time. This morning she discovered their cat and quickly learned getting to close was no match for the low bumble bee rumble and flying cat paws, ha….Annie is a quick study! One command of “leave it” is all it took.  She walked away as if to say “whatever” and all was back to business as usual. Annie loves her new red couch and is all wiggles and waggles. We are sooooo proud of you Annie, we knew you could do this!

Annie’s second day in a home

Annie’s second day in a home

In all this time, we’ve never seen this side of Annie . . .

No cold floors, no barking and whining reverberating off the walls and no countless lonely hours until someone takes her out for 15 minutes at a time.  Imagine Annie’s world now!  Soft comfy lounge, windows to see the world through and best of all a loving lap and home made food.  Annie is wondering where this heaven has been all her life and she shows her thanks by her gentle snuggles and loving kisses.  What a different dog!

Annie is finally home!!!

Annie is finally home!!!

Yesterday was a monumental day for us.  It was a long, hard and often times tearful battle but Annie is home and now safe as a Fur-Ever Home pup, FINALLY!  She had a great first night in her foster home.  When visiting her this morning, she climbed up in my lap, laid her head on my chest and nuzzled with me for a good 5 minutes, I just know she was saying thank you, I love you and I really do want to be loved!

Thank you all for your love, support and generous donations for Annie and Fur-Ever Home but most importantly for NEVER giving up on her! You all truly do make a difference and we feel so lucky to know you. I also want to send a special thank you to Cynde Van Vleet, she spent hours and hours yesterday getting our sweet girl acclimated and making sure she was safe and comfortable in her foster home.  This is the very first time Annie has ever been in a home in her 5 years of life, she is free to now be the precious girl we all know she can be, take time to see the world around her, sniff grass, see new things and finally live…..what a joy for her and us!

This is what Fur-Ever Home is all about, not giving up ever and doing the right thing 100% of the time.  You did it sweet Annie girl, you did it!

Thank you all again!
